Leo Burnett was a constant advocate for customer intimacy — get to know your prospect like a friend so that you can have a natural conversation. In fact, the best way to figure out your product pitch is to imagine that you’re giving it to your best friend face-to-face over dinner or drinks. If you can phrase your pitch the way you’d naturally phrase it to a friend, you’ll be able to phrase it for a stranger.
